SCC Online was founded on the belief that excellence in education should know no boundaries. SCC Online aims to make high-quality learning accessible to students beyond the traditional school environment.
SCC Online is a formal joint venture between St Charles College in Pietermaritzburg and Hatfield Christian School in Pretoria. Both schools have been delivering education for decades.
The Cambridge Endorsement of this endeavour has been earned through years of consistent academic results.
This partnership is not a marketing arrangement. It is a jointly governed programme – with the curriculum expertise, teaching standards, and institutional credibility of both schools behind every session we run.
Based in Pietermaritzburg, St Charles College is one of South Africa’s premier independent boys’ schools. With a proud academic tradition and a long-standing commitment to the Cambridge curriculum, St Charles College has consistently produced students who go on to lead in their fields.
Based in Pretoria, Hatfield Christian School is a leading independent school with a strong academic programme. Hatfield has extensive experience in online and blended learning, and brings proven infrastructure, operational experience, and a track record of delivering structured learning at scale to the partnership.
Education in South Africa is uneven. The best Cambridge schools produce exceptional results. But access to that quality – to subject specialists who know the syllabus deeply, to structured programmes with real accountability, to teachers who are invested in each student’s outcome – has always depended on geography and fees.
SCC Online changes that. Not by offering a cheaper version of Cambridge education, but by making the real version available to more students. Online delivery, yes. But the same teachers, the same standards, and the same commitment to results that both founding schools are known for.
